I'm Rocky Logue and I live on the Central Coast of California. My guitar playing is rooted in traditional Hawaiian music and Ki Ho'alu (Slack Key), and I specialize in finger-style guitar. I started with o'hana kanikapila(family jams) and playing for a few different Hula Halaus in Southern and Central California. Always a fan of music, while learning Hawaiian guitar, I also taught myself how to play Classical Guitar, I was part of the Cal Poly SLO Guitar Ensemble in the late 90's. Along with Hawaiian and Classical, I studied a bit of Jazz guitar. After moving to San Luis Obispo in 1995, I began playing solo acoustic gigs at area wineries, restaurants, and music venues. I also played for many weddings throughout California and sat in on guitar with several area bands. I went on to help form the San Luis Obispo reggae iconic band Resination. After Resination, I continued my solo career and then formed and played in local SLO bands, Brake Down, Kinetic, and ConJuntos. After a bit of a break playing shows, I began playing with Resination front man Vance Fahie and Nitely Irie. We still perform together today, acoustically, and as a full band. I'm returning to my roots and hoping to bring a little Aloha and island-style to a venue near you to help brighten your day.
